How does the Paroli system work?
The system is actually a reverse Martingale system. Whereas Martingale prescribes doubling your bet each time you lose until you win a hand again, the Paroli system is the opposite. This system prescribes doubling the bet whenever a hand is won in order to maximize profits in the good periods.
The system is based on the principle that while playing blackjack you often encounter series of losses or wins. Sometimes you just have periods where everything goes well and you manage to win several hands in a row. On the other hand, you’ll also have periods when everything seems to be against you and you lose several hands in a row.
By doubling your bet every time there is a winning streak, you will be able to make the maximum profit during this period. In the period of losing, keep your losses as low as possible by only betting a minimum amount per hand. In order to be able to apply this system properly, you need to consider beforehand how many times you’re going to double the bet in case of a win.
After all, you can never win an infinite number of times and will inevitably end up losing again. For example, you decide to double the original bet four times. If you start with a bet of $2 and win four hands in a row, you will be paid an amount of $32. While never risking more than the original $2 bet.
Pros and cons of this blackjack system
The main advantage of the Paroli system is that it is much less extreme than, say, the Martingale system. When using Martingale, you have to risk huge amounts of money to make up for losses. By using the Paroli system you never risk more per hand than the original bet you started with.
If things go well then you double this original bet a number of times and take the profits. If things go wrong, however, then you never lose more per hand than the minimum bet.
The disadvantage of the system is that you have no influence at all on the outcome of the game. We therefore recommend that you learn a good strategy in combination with this blackjack system so you can make the best possible decisions during the game.
To end up with a profit using this system, you are dependent on series of winning hands. If you don’t get enough of them, you will lose the profit made every time.
