Start Playing Blackjack

Buying chips

The type of cards does not matter in blackjack. The value of the hand is all the values added together. As an example, you have a 5, 7 and 9 in your hand, this counts as a value of 21 (which is the highest possible value in blackjack).
The ace has a value of 1 or 11. If you have a hand with the cards 2, 9 and ace this will have a total number of 12. If you want to use the ace here as 11 you end up with 22 and your hand is dead. The idea in blackjack is that you don’t go over 21 (then the dealer wins right).
